Learning Jungle International School to celebrate the Grand Opening of its New Elementary Campus and the 149th Canada Day Celebration on Saturday, June 25th, 2016

Learning Jungle International School, the only Canadian franchise school in Cambodia offering the highest standard of education, is celebrating the Grand Opening of its new Elementary campus on Street 598 (or Street Chea Sophara), Sangkat Toul Sangke, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh and the 149th Canada day celebration on Saturday, June 25th, 2016. Currently, the school has 2 campuses.

The event will be presided over by His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education Youth and Sport, accompanied by Mr. Francis Huot, Head of the Office of the Canadian Embassy in Cambodia, H.E. Nil Nonn, Vice-President of the Cambodian Supreme Court and President of Trial Chamber of the Extraordinary Chamber in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), Mr. Nesmith Chincuanco, CEO of Learning Jungle Canada, Mr. Ly Virak, Chairman of Learning Jungle International School and Mr. David Sok Dara Marshall, Chairman of Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia and. The event also includes the graduation of the Kindergarten students and students’ performances showing their competence in English literacy, Art and Music.

This New Elementary Campus is equipped with a library & computer room, music room, science lab, 2 swimming pools, large canteen area, modern classrooms and a large sport & conference center which incorporates the Futsal, Basketball and Volleyball. The modern and complete facilities at this new campus elevates Learning Jungle to be among the top international schools in Cambodia.

Learning Jungle International School offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6. In addition to the high standards reflected in the teacher’s qualification, the centre environment, programming and services, Learning Jungle is distinct from other schools through its commitment to delivering a differentiated parent involvement experience by providing the constant assurance and confidence that their child is being  well taken care of.

Following Ontario curriculum from Canada, Learning Jungle’s approach taps into natural interests to guide children’s development through play, sensory learning and social interaction, music, swimming, computer, physical education, and art; all of which are included in the curriculum to ensure that each day children come to school excited to learn.

Mr. Ly Virak, who brought the Learning Jungle Franchise to Cambodia and developed the reputation of Learning Jungle International School to its current situation, has the strong will to offer the International standards of Education to Cambodian students while maintaining their Cambodian identity. “This is the main reason why he decided to invest in the Education sector in Cambodia”, said Mr. Ly Virak. “Khmer program is incorporated into the school daily curriculum to ensure that our students are competitive both locally and internationally in the future”, according to Mr. Ly Virak.

The Cambodian curriculum follows the program licensed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

The certificate issued by Learning Jungle Cambodia is recognized both by Learning Jungle Canada and the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport of Cambodia.
